I have always loved food and photography. It seemed obvious to combine the two but it meant I have lots of photos sitting "gatherin dust". Following encouragement from some people on Twitter I'm trying to share some eating experiences. My job takes me to interesting places and you have to eat when you travel. This will be an attempt at gathering my thoughts on some wonderful (and not so wonderful meals) on those travels.

All photos from November 2011 onwards are taken with an iPhone 4S. Photos before November were taken with an iPhone 3S  or a Nikon D90. The progress from 3S to 4S in incredible. The iPhone 3 camera really struggled if conditions weren't perfect. I try and avoid using a flash in restaurants so the 4S shots will occasionally suffer from shadow effects in the evening. The camera is so good that there is no need to take the SLR camera to restaurants.

It's easy to remember the highlights and low points of meals when I eat by myself. The details get lost in family dinners so photos have to suffice.
